La idea es desde luego peculiar y auna lo mejor de la fotografía digital con la versatilidad de nuestros móviles. El Xiaomi 12S Ultra cuenta en este concepto con un sistema que permitiría montar cualquier objetivo de la serie M (no solo Leica) para ir aún más lejos en el ámbito fotográfico.

En Xiaomi de hecho han publicado un vídeo promocional en el que explican cómo algo así permitiría por ejemplo ofrecer una “profundidad de campo auténtica” en lugar de la que se ofrece de serie a través del software con el que nuestros smartphones capturan por ejemplo en modo retrato.
La idea recuerda a intentos anteriores que ya vimos, como por ejemplo el módulo de Hasselblad para los Moto Z o el LG Cam Plus para los LG G5. En el vídeo se puede ver además cómo el móvil integraría el objetivo como suyo propio, haciendo así que la aplicación de cámara pudiese aprovechar tanto los sistemas de enfoque como el histograma y el disparo en RAW de 10 bits de un objetivo de este tipo.
Según Android Authority este concepto seguirá siendo solo eso y por tanto no lo veremos disponible en tiendas. Aún así es una idea interesante que quizás pueda seguir siendo explorada por este y otros fabricantes en el futuro.
